Ryan Green joined the North Central Chapter Paralyzed Veterans of America in Sioux Falls, SD as the Government Relations Director in 2003. Ryan is a native of Sioux Falls, SD where he has worked as, an account manager at Citibank and Household Credit Services, and attended college at Dakota State University. He was injured in a car accident in July of 1996 resulting in a C5-C6-C7 spinal cord injury. One year after Ryan’s injury he accepted a job at the Prairie Freedom Center in Sioux Falls where he worked as an Independent Living Specialist and Advocacy Coordinator for 3 years. Currently he is active in advocating for the rights of all people with disabilities. Ryan has extensive knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Housing Act, and other disability-related laws. He actively serves on several boards and committees that serve individuals with disabilities including the Sioux Falls ADA advisory committee, the Sioux Falls Public Transportation Advisory Board, the Statewide Independent Living Council, and the Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund Board. For the past 8 years, he has been active in the disability movement in South Dakota and is dedicated to promoting inclusion of all persons with disabilities in our communities.
